Anomaly Detection in BACnet systems
Meeting 22
Title: Preprocessing update
Date: 24/03/2020
Time: 5 pm
Location: Zoom Conference Call
Attendees: Sofian Ghazali, Rahul Balamurugan, Zahid Kamil
Absences: None
Action Items: See the outputs based on the preprocessing
Meeting Agenda:
-
Decide if the preprocessed data is sufficient
-
Decide if the preprocessed needs to be changed again
Discussion and Notes:
The meeting was focused on figuring out if the preprocessed data is good enough to feed into the Machine Learning model. The patterns from the data should also be seen and more importantly on how the anomaly detection would work. This preprocessed data would also need to apply on the GUI. The preprocessed data was not sufficient and therefore would need to be changed again since the output was not what we were looking for. The model was not able to decipher the difference between IP addresses. Additionally, after receiving emails from Dr. Wahid on categorical data we decided to pursue his method and it turned to provide us some good results and therefore we still need to preprocess further
Next meeting action items:
-
Preprocess data to obtain binary-encoded categorical data
